【初一暑假英语作文】The summer vacation is the most exciting time of the year for students. It is a time when we can relax, have fun, and also learn new things. This summer, I had a wonderful time and did many interesting activities.

During the first week of my vacation, I stayed at home and read some books. I chose a novel called The Little Prince because it was recommended by my English teacher. It was a little difficult for me, but I tried to understand it by looking up new words in the dictionary. I also practiced writing summaries of each chapter in English. This helped me improve my reading and writing skills.

In the second week, I went to visit my grandparents in the countryside. It was very different from living in the city. There were lots of trees, and the air was fresh. I helped my grandfather water the vegetables and feed the chickens. I also learned how to ride a bicycle. Although I fell down a few times, I didn’t give up. Finally, I could ride it smoothly. That made me feel proud.

In the third week, I joined an English club with some of my classmates. We met every afternoon and practiced speaking English. We played games, watched short videos, and even acted out simple dialogues. It was fun and helpful. I improved my pronunciation and confidence in speaking.

In the last week, I planned a trip with my family. We went to a beach near our city. The weather was sunny and warm. I swam in the sea, built sandcastles, and enjoyed ice cream. I also took many photos to remember this happy time.

Overall, this summer vacation was full of learning and fun. I not only improved my English, but also had a lot of unforgettable experiences. I hope next summer will be just as exciting.
